Well, this term is composed of the word "Benchmark", my current field of activities and "Marko" (in my birth certificate my name is really written with "k" but only pedantic authorities are allowed to call me this way).

I owe this creation to my two colleagues Susanne and Randolf. On an occurence I do not want to describe here in detail, Susanne said "Mensch Marco!" to me (in a sense of "Hey!") which Randolf got as "BenchMarko!" So the term was born...
